BICYCLING NONVIOLENCE

Sidewalk painting of Mahatma Gandhi

This YouTube video was as close as we could find to honor the beliefs and methods of the late Martin Luther King, Jr. Watch  24 square metre live-action bicyclist creating a Gandhi pavement portrait performed in a public space at the bank of the river Kamo in Kyoto, Japan’s Sakyo-ku ward. Spanish painter Borja de Pedro produced the  portrait  using a bicycle tire as a brush. Passers-by are able to see India’s great man gradually appear. You have to see it to believe it.
