Survey and Feedback for Direction of CABA

As many of you know, the Charlotte Area Bicycle Alliance has been quietly transitioning with significant changes in key leadership. These individuals will be sorely missed due to their on-going dedication to Charlotte area cycling.

As CABA enters this period of transition with a strong Board or Directors of committed advocates who aim to represent all facets of the cycling community. CABA’s broad objective through this organizational transformation is to transition to a membership focused organization working on behalf of Charlotte’s diverse and healthy cycling community.

As part of this change, we are pleased to announce that the Charlotte Area Bicycle Alliance has unanimously voted in confirmation of Weldon Weaver as the chairman of the Board of Directors. Weldon has been a long time CABA board member and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge about all facets of Charlotte’s cycling community to the organization. Jon Harding, will continue serving as treasurer. As a vice president and manager at Wells Fargo, Jon brings a unique business perspective to CABA’s on-going operations. Keith Sorenson, one of the visionaries behind the Charlotte Recyclery, an urban planner in Indian Trail and longtime urban cyclist in Charlotte also remains. Arleigh Jenkins, a cycling focused marketing and communications guru, was welcomed to the BOD over the past month.

Tobe Holmes will serve as the interim executive director of the Charlotte Area Bicycle Alliance. Tobe has been a board member since 2011 and is currently employed by Charlotte Center City Partners. We are pleased that Tobe will be leading the organization as we progress through this exciting transition.

To begin these efforts we are looking for your feedback and direction. Below is a survey that we would greatly appreciate your response and feedback on. If we missed something, let us know!
