Recent story in Charlotte Observer – “State transportation officials are giving more than $1.1 million in grants to six projects in the Charlotte metro region designed to get more children walking or riding bicycles to school. Two of the projects are in Charlotte, at Sedgefield Elementary School and Olde Providence Elementary School. The others are in Belmont, Mooresville, Shelby and Waxhaw. They are among more than $3.6 million in grants announced Tuesday by the N.C. Department of Transportation…”

    This is fantastic! I recently relocated from bike-friendly Charleston, SC and look forward to watching Charlotte evolve into a more bike-centric community!
