CABA affiliate defends bicyclists


Legal services: NCBIKELAW provides services via Ann Groninger– member of CABA. Trial plans this fall include representing a cyclist in Brunswick County.  The cyclist was hit from behind while turning into Hardee’s for coffee.    Also filed suit on behalf of a cyclist in Asheville against an off-duty police officer and working on several other suits around the state.

State legislature: The UATRA bill (comparative negligence) continues to work its way through the NC House and Senate.  We continue to keep an eye on it and other legislation affecting cyclists.  Please continue to write your legislators to urge them to vote for UATRA.
