CABA LIGHT PROGRAM

Making bike commuting safer!

caba-tail-lightCABA volunteers installed free blinking visibility lights to bicycle commuters on Monday night in several locations.  According to CABA Director Weldon Weaver, “We always notice an increase in bicycle commuters around Charlotte as we transition into Daylight Saving Time. We want to get the word out that lights help increase bicycle visibility even during daylight hours.  Lights can make a big difference under Charlotte’s vast tree canopy or under those dark Spring rain clouds.  CABA wants commuters to be as visible and as safe as possible.”

Congratulations to the Central Avenue team, led by Volunteer Captain Joey Emanuel, for installing the most lights.  Thanks to volunteers Mike Lopez and Chris Johnson for their special efforts.

The light program was made possible by a generous donation from SCBikeLaw.com and NCBikeLaw.com.
